Co-owner
Matt Meis
www.mattmeis.com
comes to Hadar Company with 33 years of experience in every
aspect of the jewelry industry. Over the years he has had
several clients that wanted high quality custom fine jewelry,
but did not want a natural diamond, either for ethical reasons
or because of the high price. When he discovered the Hadar
Company, joining Gerry Hauser was a very natural next step in
his fine jewelry career.
Mr. Meis began
his career in the jewelry business as a craftsman in 1975. By
1986 he was the in-house goldsmith at an exclusive La Jolla,
California fine jeweler store. He made the transition from the
workbench to retail jewelry store management and in 1993 left
retail for a position with a wholesale diamond import
company.
Four years
later he began his solo career as Matt Meis Goldsmith; a
convenient, high quality and competitively priced option for
customers looking for an alternative to the traditional retail
jewelry store buying experience. Specializing in custom designed
wedding, anniversary and special occasion fine jewelry, Meis
meets with his clients in the convenience of their home or
office. One of his clients nicknamed him The Wandering Jeweler,
and the name has stuck.
Matt Meis
has been featured in several magazines including
Jewelers Circular Keystone,
Instore Magazine,
Pro Jeweller,
Exquisite Weddings and
Luxveria
Luxurious Living. Meis
has been interviewed on
San Diego’s NBC 7/39 television
and featured in a
Microsoft Small Business Success Story.
Meis has also been featured on the
United States Small Business
Administration website.
